MAREIKE HENSCHEL

Mareike Henschel is an architect and partner of CITYFÖRSTER Architecture + Urbanism. Previously she worked as an Architect in different architecture offices in Germany and Italy.
Mareike studied Architecture at the Leibniz University of Hannover and the Politecnico of Milan and received her final degree in 2005 with honorable mension for the project of a thermal bath in Naples.

Mareikes interest in architecture goes beyond the scales, while she lies her focus in the fields ‘New housing’ and ‘Buildings for the knowledge society’.

She designed and implemented projects on the edge between urbanism, architecture and design and achieved a wide knowledge in the fields building within the existing, transformations and refurbishments and ‘builds city’ with small scale conversions.

Currently Mareike works between Rotterdam / NL and Salerno / I on the implementation of the New Lands Commission Building in Accra, Ghana.
